Review on 17.3" Portable EVICIV FreeSync Monitor - 2560X1440 Resolution, Anti-Glare Coating, Tilt Adjustment, Ultrawide Screen, HD by Tim Clark

I've wanted to replace my old portable monitor for a long time since I travel a lot. Since I use a 17 inch laptop, I often find that the vast majority of portable monitors don't meet my needs, especially since my laptop's resolution is 2560 x 1440. However, this particular monitor really nailed it! First of all, it's the right size. I like parity between my laptop and the connected display, both in terms of physical size and resolution. Second, it has a high refresh rate (when using an HDMI connection). It also works well with adding smoothness between my laptop and monitor or for gaming. Third, while it doesn't have a high HDR rating, it still gets bright and has great color and contrast. And finally, it has a very comfortable lid. which protects him quite well. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I still wish the prices were a little lower, but I can't complain about the performance. There are a few cons, but they don't really detract from my needs and goals, or even begin to outweigh the pros. First is the lack of touch support. It doesn't bother me, but I do see it as a problem for a lot of people who use touchscreen laptops and don't get that smoothness in between. Next is the speaker. To be honest, it's not necessary. It doesn't sound like much either, but it's actually an unnecessary addition to the monitor (added weight and complexity, and therefore cost). One last thing for me, while I like the protective case, I would like it to cover the monitor completely and not just the edges and one side. I think it would have lasted longer and been safer if rolled around securely and completely. Simply put, if you have a 17 inch laptop and want to take a portable monitor with you when you travel, this is a great option!
