I first bought the popular Lepow portable monitor here at Revain. It was a miserable mistake as the HDMI port had a compatibility issue with two of the four devices I tested it with and even tried different cables just to be 100% sure. Annoyingly, there was nothing at all to attach the case/stand to the Lepow monitor, which meant that not only could it slide in and out of the case easily, but it also ran the risk of breaking. I'll be away for a month and would like a portable second monitor. This one is perfect for two reasons: 1) It's one of the largest available at 17.3 inches. 2) Although it is not 4K, it has a sufficient resolution of 1440p. 3) It can be powered by a cable from my M1 Macbook Pro. It is possible to connect the USB-C power delivery to a second USB-C port on a monitor OR directly to a laptop. The first is better because it's more like a docking station with a single cable that goes with the laptop.

I had to travel and work, which would be very difficult if I only had a laptop. The monitor arrived on time, worked immediately. resolution is good. I had to adjust the input size in the dual display settings on my laptop to match the text and screen sizes with the laptop once I thought it was perfect. The hardware design is clean and simple, with minimal bezels, and comes with all the hardware and cables needed for the various connections. This portable monitor is great. The only one I found with 4k and a decent price. Colors aren't very good compared to my non-portable standard monitor. They look blurry but I mainly use it for Excel so it doesn't bother me much but obviously I wouldn't use it for photo or video editing. this iPad as a case. But at least it comes with a case. The included cables are short, so you'll need at least one external USB cable if you're not powering the PD.

This monitor is clearly meant to add an extra screen to your laptop more than anything else. Although it would of course work fine on a computer. I switched from a huge 34 inch all-in-one PC to a mini PC and wanted to downsize my monitor. This unit worked great, and the best part was that it had a VESA mount on the back, which is not something you see too often on portable monitors.
