TDK no longer produces its own media. Experts say there are better quality discs out there, but they're not bad either. These are RITEKF1 made in Taiwan with Fuji dye. They don't exactly meet archival standards, but they are good general purpose drives. If you want a disc that is considered "premium - archival quality" you'd better go for Verbatim (just the standard Verbatim, not the Value or Life series), Taiyo Yuden and a few others if you they can find. If super long life isn't an issue and it's a good retail price I think the TDK will do the job.
