Can't ask for more

I used the whole 50 spindle and came back for an extra one. These DVD-R discs performed great without a single bad burn! I've never used an entire drive spindle without at least one bad drive (there were often many bad drives available from other, more expensive brands). So I fully support this product no matter the cost. I hope this wasn't an accident but we'll see if I place another order. Order this spindle and you will get great value for money.

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Very good value for money

Don't be fooled by the low price - these are very good DVDs. I wanted to buy the Taiyo Yuden brand (they are considered the best), but my budget didn't allow it. When I first received them I noticed that they were very thin and light. I'm used to using DVD-RW, so I don't know if it's normal for rewritable discs to have higher density. I've burned ten of these discs so far and haven't had any lag or quality issues. It works great even on a player with a weak laser. I burned them all at double…

Good but not great.

Not the best. TDK used to be one of my favorite DVD-R brands, but this stack has resulted in some unreadable DVDs, as well as some that need to be remounted a few times to be read on my laptop DVD player. However, it's much better than the latest Verbatim DVD-Rs, which produced a bunch of coasters (perhaps a bad batch, as I've had good luck with Verbatim CDRs and DVD+R-DLs), which is the case with these TDK DVDs can be. -Rupees But now I return to my other favorite mediums. DVD-R from Staples…

Great! in Accessories and Supplies

Fantastic price for a pack of 50 DVD-Rs. Best local price was 50% more than I paid for a pack of 25. The first three of the reel were picked up quickly and with no problems. The recording medium was a fairly new desktop computer with a very fast DD recorder, the other recorder was a 4 or 5 year old DVR. The latter recorder is somewhat sensitive to the recording medium. In fact, I had to buy new blank media because the ones I had didn't work with the DVR. No problems with new discs. I couldn't…

Suitable for general use

TDK no longer produces its own media. Experts say there are better quality discs out there, but they're not bad either. These are RITEKF1 made in Taiwan with Fuji dye. They don't exactly meet archival standards, but they are good general purpose drives. If you want a disc that is considered "premium - archival quality" you'd better go for Verbatim (just the standard Verbatim, not the Value or Life series), Taiyo Yuden and a few others if you they can find. If super long life isn't an issue and…

TDK DVD-R - Pretty good discs. (CMC MAG.AM3)

Although these CDs are CMC MAG.AM3 *which is a mediocre medium from Taiwan*, they burn perfectly in my Samsung/Lite-on burner. I scanned the discs I burned in ImgBurn with Nero CD/DVD Speed and they are all 90/95% quality. I use these discs for pretty much everything you can think of. Backups of movies, PS2 games, Xbox games, PC games, etc. Some of these discs are over 3-5 years old and still play great, just like the first day I recorded them. Of course, I never go beyond 4x/8x on these discs.

  • DVD-Rs
Cons
  • Some small things

3 rolls per year Custom

While I'm not an expert on recordable media, I've definitely used it for the last 10 years. In the past, especially when I was a student, I bought as much as possible and spent as little as possible. Over the years I've found this to be a short-sighted strategy for backing up my important files. Many brands are not very reliable over a long period of time. I've also moved a lot and my drives have taken a bit of abuse in the process. In my more mature years, I decided to stop wasting money on…
