An honest comparison of drying foils. I have attempted to photograph various dehydrator sheets that I have purchased over the years. The best quality for Excalibur are the sheets sold by the company. You can get them cheaper at Harvest Essentials. Of the sheets sold by Excalibur, the newest and thickest are of the best quality. They have a brown stripe on the edge. The photo also shows the older, thinner Teflex sheets. They're about 20 years old or older and still work pretty well. Some of them got lost in the move so I replaced them with generic ones sold on Revain. I have two batches of Revain. About a year old, it's quite thick, like Excalibur leaves. What is missing is flexibility. Worked for about a year. The food started to stick to him. They are wrinkled from washing. In comparison, Excalibur slabs are still smooth and non-sticky. The latest from Revain have only been used once. you are so skinny It's like trying to wash a piece of plastic wrap. This causes them to wrinkle. It's horrible to work with them. They're so light they won't stay in place when unfolding things like wraps. If you don't cover every square inch of food, the wind of the dehydrator blows it away. They go in the trash. It feels like using it once and then throwing it away. I haven't tried parchment paper. This is an example of what you pay for what you get. Excalibur makes a quality product. 1 photo new sheet. 2 photo sheet is 20+ years old. It's still in good quality. 3. Latest All-in-One Revain Dehydrator. Very bad quality. Sure to piss off the most dedicated dehydrator. 4. The thickness of the dehydrator sheets side by side. Excalibur and generics. Generic is very thin. Not very smooth. 5. Excalibur to Excalibur sheet. I bought this bedding hoping to save money. Instead I found it a waste of money.
