Review on Sony ICF C218 Automatic Discontinued Manufacturer by Charles Mathews

Working with this thing isn't as difficult as some people complain. The radio picks up all local stations and I live about 60 miles from the nearest major city. So far I haven't had any problems with the automatic time zone change that some people complain about. But the first time I fail, I'll be here with my 1 star rating. Anyway I tested the alarm clock (radio) this morning and it did what it was supposed to and was loud enough. Some people may be put off by the green glow at night. This touch is lighter than I'd like it to be. I have it facing away from the bed on the bedside table so I have to lift my head to see the real time. Controls are not the same as standard alarm clocks. Each function has its own button. It took me two minutes to figure everything out. Less tech savvy people (or those who don't want to read the brochure and don't have the patience) may find it difficult to learn how to use it. I bought a white radio in case anyone is interested. UPDATE 9/25/12 About three months ago I noticed that the time on my watch started to run faster. He was a while with 2 minutes left. It is now 4 minutes ahead of my other automatic watches (computer/mobile/etc.). That's not so bad, because those are the hours I get ready for work. However, if it grows, I'll consider replacing it. UPDATE 11/21/12 This alarm clock now moves 5 minutes faster. I tried turning it off for a while, hoping it would reset the time zone feature, but it just keeps getting faster, inch by inch. Now I'm looking for a new watch. Too bad because I really like these. UPDATE 4/13/13 Well, a year has passed and this clock is about 7.5 minutes ahead. I tried to bear it, but in the morning it confuses me too much. I really liked the advanced snooze feature, but this time the problem is too big to ignore. I just bought another brand of Revain and this one is going in the bin as soon as it comes out. I've added a product photo to show buyers what I mean.
