Tried to mount on a 1-3/8” outside diameter (OD) metal post. The back plate of the mount (the one NOT welded to the light) is of a thin metal gauge which BENDS/CONFORMS to the shape of the metal pole and therefore creates NO GRIP to the pole. Needless to say, when I straightened the pole, the light wobbled and came loose. MAYBE it works on larger OD posts (only the manufacturer/seller would know). It will NOT work on a 1-3/8” OD post as advertised in the product description/pictures/information of the Best Buy listing. So far, I have requestes a refund from Best Buy and I will be sending the product back. Other than that, it seemed to work well after charging it as directed before trying to install it on the pole.
