Review on 🌀 Minka-Aire F1000-BN Dyno 52-Inch Indoor Ceiling Fan with Integrated LED 16W Dimmable Light in Brushed Nickel Finish, Reversible Maple/Walnut Blades by Christine Foht

My original review of this fan (below) was written as soon as it was installed. What I didn't know when I wrote the review is that after only 2 hours of use it emits a loud very annoying humming noise. I hate using the fan now because of the noise. I bought this ceiling fan for my garage because Houston gets pretty hot in the summer. Although the stock photo was very nice, I didn't expect the fan to be so beautiful. I'm almost embarrassed hiding it in the garage. He belongs in a space where others will see him and appreciate his beauty. The air movement is ok, not as good as other fans in the house and the light is very bright but a bit harsh for indoor lighting. An electrician installed it for me. He had no problems and it only took about 20 minutes. Balancing is not required at all. As others have noted, the battery for the remote control was dead on arrival - thanks to their feedback I knew I needed to purchase an extra battery along with ordering the fan. I have also taken advantage of Revain's new 'buy an electrician to do the installation' service. I've never seen this before, but it turned out great. This service was MUCH cheaper than any handyman I found on Angie's List and the electrical company had great customer service and even better installation services.
