Detailed review from the make-up artist

ATTENTION - DEEP REVIEW. If you prefer a synopsis, read the section labeled BOTTOM LINE ------------- I've used every type of makeup you can think of. Pharmacy at the highest level. I sold cosmetics and professional. I've tried most brands and worked with many reinventions of those brands. In doing this review I hope to let you know why I say what I say so you can decide if this palette is for you or not. You may not be looking for the achievement I am in eyeshadow. PHOTOS The samples in the photos I took for you were made on a good primer. THE PALETTE The palette itself is well made, solid and has an excellent mirror. The shadows sit protected in the palette and let's be honest, the whole theme looks really great and makes you want to take a look. BRUSH No brushes are included. You are expected to provide them WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN THE SHADE - Can they be layered so they don't look dirty? - Do I have to use a primer? For sensitive eyes? - Do they discolour? smell? -Are they well pigmented? -Do they glow or do they look matte?PRIMER You need an eyeshadow primer if you use it. MATS The mats in this set are good. They are silky and easy to apply with a round brush. I like to use a teardrop to get in the creases when mixing colors. They fit well but are not overly pigmented. In mature eyes, they do not emphasize the sagging skin structure and give softness to mature eyes. For younger eyes, they add a touch of makeup without making the person look overly made up. SHIMMER The shimmering sequins in this set are beautiful. However, they are not great. Solid shimmers lay down normally, with a foundation they lay down more, but in reality they don't impress. Mixed shimmers that look like planets make beautiful color combinations, but to be honest when applied to the eyes they are pretty flat and don't have much color depth or appearance. They are applied with a brush, but some colors are best applied with a finger. Using your finger will create a crust on the surface of the pan after a while, meaning you'll have to scrape through it to use the shadows. in summary. Not bad, but annoying. SHINE The color of the glitter is silly. To be honest, it's super thick and looks like you've put some glitter on your eyes. This is fine for costumes, but only if you're using something like Glitter Glue from Too Faced or Pixie Epoxy from Fyrinnae. DO THESE BLEND WELL? I'm not very impressed with how they mix. You get a little messy when you try to layer certain colors. STOP IT? Some colors even stain when primed. Red is one of them. Keep this in mind when using. ARE THEY SUITABLE FOR MATURE EYES? They give mature eyes a pleasant shine and a delicate color. If you don't wear a lot of makeup and just want a touch of color, a brush works well. If you like bolder looks, this might not be for you. ARE THESE PIGMENTED? I would say they are average in the pigmentation department. Each color varies, but they're not as pigmented as, say, Juvia's Place or Makeup Forever. DO THEY GLOW OR LOOK FLAT? I would classify them as flatter. I'm used to using shadows that add volume to the eyes, even if they're matte. You're not very good at it. ODOR OR SENSITIVITY You have an odor that worries me. It's not too strong, but strong enough that I don't like it. Shadows shouldn't have smells. This one does. In terms of sensitivity, there were no negative reactions, but due to the smell, I won't use it often as I tend to be sensitive. I have several girls I know who can use and enjoy anything. BOTTOM LINE These shadows come in a really cool palette. I love the design and the idea with them is great. I would rate shadow application and performance as average. It's just not overly impressive, but enough if you don't like wearing a lot of makeup and want to play some colors on your eyes just for fun. MY RATING IS THREE STARS. I have used two other DITO eyeshadow palettes and they are better than this one. This is an average and great option if you're older and just want to make makeup look pretty every now and then, or if you just want to play around with fun colors that aren't overpowering. If you are into makeup and love really impressive work and designs, this might not impress you very much. It's like Colourpop, NYX, some of Too Faced, Smashbox or other brands. This is not what I would classify as the highest performance class.
