We are longtime users of the Braun/Oral - B rechargeable toothbrushes, but travel sometimes separates one of the main blocks. I bought a charged Oral-B battery, which is enough for a weekend trip, for example, but if I had a longer trip abroad, a second battery just made sense. I don't remember the model number of our original rechargeable Oral-B that served us for many years, but this one is much better! It feels tighter, tighter in my hand, especially since the tips on the other side sometimes wobble a bit. However, this one never rattled or felt wobbly unless the brush head went to the point of becoming loose and having excessive movement. This is inevitable as the heads wear out, but the brush continues to work hard. I like the little plastic compartment with a lid on the side of the base unit for charging. The colour-coded rings that come with the attachments make it super easy to store brushes for the whole family - one rechargeable toothbrush is low maintenance for four people, separate and hygienic. Our young son is getting older and less likely to have to worry about these things and we will definitely be buying a second one for his upstairs bathroom. He likes it because combing is a pleasure. who knew
