I was looking for a versatile backpack that would do hiking, mountain biking and motorcycling adventures. I looked at many other packs and found that I had specific packs for each sport, but still 80% of what I carried were ordinary items. This pack lives up to its reviews and is the best set I have ever had. It's extremely secure, with an exterior pocket for small items, an open flap pocket for quick access to items, and a large interior pocket. Its single release is very simple. For hiking, I take a tool kit with a valve out of my pocket and set off. A note: In extreme temperatures, over 35 degrees Fahrenheit for me, the backpack will be warm since it's attached to your body. I didn't realize how many of my other packs had flopped. I've put up significant miles in all three sports and give this backpack the highest rating. (if they stuck in a shovel and probe bag they would own a backcountry snowmobile)
