Sometimes technology converges, but often the various devices you travel with need to be separated - just as if you pull out one, all the others you don't need fall out with them. For example, phone chargers (yes, plural) and their accompanying cords are typically needed more often than laptop gadgets. There are even less commonly used devices like USB-to-Ethernet or portable network switches. They are best separated from AC and DC items such as AC extension cords or splitters and wall wart removers. And when you put them back in, you want to be able to do so without disrupting the packing work you've been doing for items you haven't removed from your luggage (or backpack). This bag has three compartments on one side and then another fold out/zip compartment. which accommodates additional, mostly smaller components. Overall it's pretty flexible, so don't expect content protection. Two fill one side of the zip pocket and one fills the other. The zipper closes both. The grid is used for half size, which is handy for seeing what you've hidden inside; it does not apply to full size. The 50/50 side had weak seams separating them - not sure if this was done on purpose, but it clearly wouldn't stand up to being stuffed with AC cords or laptop units. The zipped center section has four compartments β about half mesh and half non-mesh. A zipper runs down the middle of each side and the entire section can also be closed with a zipper. For special purposes this might be perfect for you, but as a weekly road warrior who usually carries 2-3 phones and two laptops, I'd look for something a little more robust. However, it serves as a great organizer if you can keep items small and don't need to pack and repack frequently. Can also be used as a portable tool bag - and could be even better for that purpose.
