This monitor, although advertised and described, will NOT charge your MacBook Pro using a USB-C cable. This is a known issue in the MacBook Pro community, and Lenovo has repeatedly ignored requests on multiple tech forums to either explain the issue or provide a fix. I bought this monitor because I prefer a clean uncluttered workspace and the idea of having a cable to power my laptop and connect it to the monitor was very exciting. Unfortunately, the advertised functionality DOES NOT EXIST, and from what I've read on several forums, this issue affects several laptop manufacturers. Advertised performance does NOT match actual performance, so buyers should beware. I am using the latest Mac operating system (Big Sur) and have contacted Lenovo and Apple support to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, I'm still stuck with a few cables.
