I bought my husband these kits for his Can-Am Spyder for his birthday and then he got me a kit for Christmas so with it i have them both of us We haven't actually used them yet, but will on a journey that we will be taking very soon. They go really well with side pockets and my idea of using them is to keep everything together and be able to grab the liner when we need to bring things to the hotel. To be honest I'm not sure we'll be using them all the time. One of my side pockets holds my rain gear and pannier (half pannier) so those things don't have to be in the inner pocket. The side pocket has more space for a few small things, but I don't need the inner bag if I want to get to my rain jacket quickly. We're still debating whether it's better to just buy one ship instead of two, but the decision is pending as we haven't used it on our trip yet. If you have a lot of small items in your side pocket, you might want an insert to keep them organized.
