My rooster is the pickiest fish and loves it. Of course I cooked it beforehand. Then put it in the tank while I ride my bike. My little one loves it as a hiding place. I put a live java fern on top because my betta loves to climb into every crevice and crevice and I've had to rescue it more than once from getting stuck in its previous setup. I dug a sandy substrate under the hut. and put some stones and a moss ball in front of it. I can still spy on him but he feels like he's hiding. And he looks cute in my sand bottom tank.
