Very inconvenient to use
I was happy and had high hopes, but once I tried to use it.... very slow, qnap interface for hdmi is bad. Even their Qmedia app doesn't play 70% of my video or audio files. I had to use 3rd party players: vlc, mx for Android and when needed for Apple TV I use Infuse Pro. It's a bit more expensive at $26 but plays any video/audio without any errors.
