Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ 2-Pack 1ft MFi Certified iPhone Charger Cable, CyvenSmart Green 1 Foot USB Charging Cord for iPhone X/8/7/6s/6 Plus, Fast Data Sync & Compatible with iPhone Cases by Chris Kaul

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very poor electrical contact with my iphone

These cables are slightly less awful and unusable than my previous cord. so two stars instead of one star. They don't make a reliable connection. The slightest jiggling and they little lightning bolt goes out and more jiggling and they fall out completely. There were two cables in the pack and sometimes one will work while the other doesn't. Sometimes the good cable becomes bad and sometimes the reverse. (In other words, both cables are unpredictable.)When they were new, the Apple cables seemed to seat firmly in my phone and iPad. They've gotten looser over the years, but still connect pretty well. (I have 5 cables, one for my home office, one for my kitchen, usually used by my airpods, one for my iPad in the living room, one for my car and one for my office at work. Plus a spare in my backpack. Two of these are original Apple cables, two more Apple cables have disintegrated, usually at the connectors, after years of service. The Beldon cables in my car and at work still seem pretty decent. The others have been terrible. I don't know how much longer my iPhone 6S will last, so I don't want to pay a fortune for a new Apple cable for it. but the cheap cables on Revain are worse than useless. I often find my phone, left on a charger overnight, almost dead. I unplug it and plug it back in, the little charging bolt comes on, and an hour or so later, it is at 90-100% charged. Other times, I plug it in, set it down on the counter, and see the bolt go off, so it isn't charging.I'm not sure if it is the phone or the cable, but I think if it were the phone, they problems would always happen, but they seem to only happen with the 3rd-party cables, especially the new ones.I bought two dirt-cheap cables on Revain which were so annoying I cut the cables in half and threw them away. The review is somewhere if I can find them again. These aren't quite as bad.Bottom line, the cheap (a quarter to half price of Apple) lightning cables are JUNK. But I've had genuine Apple cables disintegrate after a few years, so they aren't a lot better.

Pros
  • So far it is very well constructed, seem to be the best out there.
Cons
  • The cable does not work with all iPhone models
