Like the attached printer, the high-capacity paper tray is of unmatched quality. Even the box it came in was really solid and had the right packaging material to protect the contents. The tray is located directly under the printer. All electrical and mechanical connections are automatic. Ideally, you should have two people lift the printer and place it on it. This is difficult when trying to do it alone. There is a slight visible gap between this compartment and the rest of the printer body, but this is a minor cosmetic issue. It's nice to have a stack of stationery in that tray and use the printer's smaller tray for fancy paper. There are numbered stickers on the tray so you can number them to help remember which is which. I've found that some apps in the software use tray #1 by default so this can be annoying. . Always check your paper source settings before printing and you won't be surprised. A very durable product and a must for the 8700 printer.
