I bought this item to use with my smartphone for Facebook Live video. Works perfectly. Absolutely zero questions. I've used it for live press conferences and for recorded interviews with excellent results. The distance is much larger than I need. I haven't had a chance to test exactly how far it goes, but I experienced no distortion or loss with a 75-foot mic outside and a receiver inside my house. With the purchase of a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter and a headphone/mic splitter, I was able to connect the receiver to my phone and successfully use the mic to record sound in cellphone videos. Very good product .I plan to buy it again.
