I was planning to use these with preschoolers but.COVID. I decided to try them out myself and wow, they are almost addictive lol. Really good for nervous energy. They make a variety of fun popping and "chirping" sounds and they are fun to stick together and pull apart. I don't know if a very young child could pull them apart (?) but I would definitely be willing to try and see.I think the larger set would be great for use in an early childhood classroom during free play because aside from the satisfaction factor lol, they can be used for "building" different designs and identifying colors. Due to the different shapes, there are so many creative building possibilities. The only complaint I have is that they are made in China. They are a great product otherwise.
