Beautiful and strong! I love her!

Assembled two 6 shelf units today and am very happy with it! Strong and beautiful, they are perfect for the space on either side of our installed flat screen TV. Fair warning: assembly is not quick and you should not rush it. Certain steps (aligning the pipe holes for the hex head screws and holding the shelves to the wall while attaching) will definitely require two people. A few tips that, based on our experience, may be helpful: 1. Follow the instructions and assemble exactly in the order given. This might seem like a no-brainer, but there are plenty of things you can pick up on if the order isn't critical that will get you started. These shelves are different. Follow the instructions or you'll spend a lot of time repeating things.2. You might think it's easier to screw on the shelves on the go than after all the pipes are connected, but it's not! You should definitely wait until you have AT LEAST connected both anchor tubes to the wall. The reason for this is that there are no pre-drilled holes and you want to make sure that both of the flat pieces that will be attached to the wall are perpendicular to the shelves so that they lie flat against the wall when you get to the attachment phase. Before screwing these two shelves on, check carefully as this will control the angle of the tubes and the flat part of it that you will attach to the wall.3. Do yourself a favor and buy a hex screwdriver. There are 12 hex head screws for each 6 shelf unit and using the supplied hex key is a pain! Make sure all hex bolts are tightened firmly as this will help ensure stability and make it strong.4. There are 8 Phillips screws per shelf. It may seem like a lot, but don't skip anything as they also add to the stability. As mentioned, there are no pre-drilled holes on the shelves, but I didn't find that a problem with an electric screwdriver. Bottom Line: These are beautiful, durable shelves and we love them! BUT be prepared to spend some time building and don't skimp! It's worth the time.
