I bought the printer for about a month and the driver is already warning me that the black ink is running out. Of course, as a student, I type a lot, but I always use the "super fast” option to save ink. Well it turns out it doesn't help much. Therefore, I advise anyone who prints a lot to think twice before buying a Canon printer with PG-40 and CL-41 cartridges. They can be used up very quickly. Apart from this problem, everything is fine with the printer. I like the style, the price, the versatility. The print quality is average. I use HP Universal Paper, which isn't bad, and sometimes I feel like the text isn't black and bold enough. The color output isn't bad and the scanner is pretty good. The copy function is really useful and the results are satisfactory. All in all, the tiny cartridges make this machine hard to recommend. If you print a lot, look elsewhere or buy a model with a separate printer-only ink tank. I wish Canon hadn't replaced an earlier model that used a BCI-2x ink tank.
