I would describe the contents of the set as acceptable. I would have preferred the Ferro rod to have a lanyard opening but there are no complaints about the contents of the kit. My claim to the most pewter. The seam at the bottom of the container is leaking. So if you were expecting to get a glass to boil water in a pinch you would be very disappointed. also will allow water, which of course is undesirable. The tape around the cover is not enough to seal it when the kit is submerged in water. Wet tinder, of course, is useless. A ziploc package would be the best container. All in all, I consider this to be a serious shortcoming and unfortunately have to recommend doing without the kit altogether.
