I've used Sewell ghost wire in the past and it was definitely lower, but it wasn't easy to work with either and ended up falling off the wall. This cable is much heavier but still narrow compared to most speaker cables. For the floor, I bought cheap carpet underlay from Wal-Mart and cut it to match the wire, making the wire "flush" with the underlay. Then I put another soft pillow and a rug on top. Honestly I still feel it but it doesn't leave any visible lines on the carpet like it did before adding the second pad. It's tricky in places where the barrel isn't straight, but overall I'm happy with the price and functionality, especially when compared to Sewell's Ghost Wire.
