I've used Zippo lighters for most of my life, but lately I've been exploring some other softer flame options. The first thing I noticed upon opening the box was a small key which I found inside the box behind a plastic felt covered lighter holder. I removed the central screw cover and carefully filled the lighter, leaving it for a while to give the cotton wool time to fully absorb the fuel. I carefully screwed the gas cap back into place so there were no transverse threads. When checking for leaks (no), I turned the lighter to a vertical position. Seeing no sign of leaks, I squeezed the lever and released it. There was a fan 4 to 5 feet from me to simulate being outside and this lighter immediately ignited a decent soft flame on the first hit and it burned until I closed the lid of the lighter again. Maybe after refilling it worked perfectly right out of the box, or maybe it's the attractive looks and decent weight of this lighter at an affordable price, IDK of course, but maybe I've just found a new favorite. So far I like it very much.
