I have tried several keyboards and mice that are offered for my Kindle Fire HD. This worked as advertised. Several others don't. I still haven't found the mouse. If anyone actually has a mouse that works with the Kindle Fire HD, please share. We bought it to use with TeamViewer software as remote desktop access on the go. It can also be used to make your Kindle look a bit like a laptop. If you type a lot, it can get tiring to poke at the screen. I work for the courses I'm taking and I need a keyboard for that. If you primarily use your Kindle for other purposes, the keyboard may be overkill. Pros: The keyboard is tactile. I prefer non-tactile. It has most of the function keys and special key combinations that I usually use. I'm not sure if they all work in all my applications. For example arrow keys. CONS: If you turn on the keyboard with the on/off slider, there's no softkey to toggle it on/off (maybe I missed it).} This becomes important depending on the application you're using. SUGGESTIONS: No built in mouse pad like other keyboard add-ons. That would be a great feature. I wish it was a little larger to fit the Kindle form factor. It would be helpful if it had a lip or some other mechanism to slide under the Kindle or attach it for support. Maybe a variant of a cover or sleeve. At the moment it is not convenient to use a laptop (my normal mode).
