I bought a set of 2 as a starter kit to see how easy it would be to connect and if it actually works and my experience so far is great Well. To activate you can simply mount it in place with the mounting plate and then attach the smoke alarm to the plate and it will turn it on automatically. To connect we must click 3 times on the master (can be anyone) and then also 3 times on the one we want to connect to the master and the LED will confirm. The test is a long press on one of them, and this alarm can be turned off on any of the alarms, just like a real alarm. This gives me some extra comfort and security in my big house.
