Review on πŸ₯“ Emson Wave Microwave Cooker Tray - Reduces Fat by 35% | Healthy & Quick Bacon Cooker | Original As Seen On TV - New | Small Size | White by Leon Johnsson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I still prefer frying, but this was the best bacon microwave I've ever used.

Well it's better than 4 other bacon microwave ovens I've tried. (I stopped using it maybe a year ago.) This will cook the bacon more evenly, but not evenly enough. Bacon tends to dry out a bit more than if it was fried. This seems to make it a little less flavorful. Bacon slices tend to be too long to fit in this holder and this can cause fat to drip out of the pan, cook more unevenly and the bacon become sticky. Different slice quantities require different power and different cooking times. Unless you have a very good memory, you'd almost have to make a spreadsheet to keep track of it, or keep a close eye on Speck. It can be easily digested. I've found that when cooking on low power, the bacon will dry out before it's even cooked. When cooking on high, some spots will burn and some will remain raw. You need to find the setting that works best for you. The tray doesn't hold all the 1-pound slices of thinly sliced bacon. It can accommodate all slices of thick-cut bacon. I can not remember. Since you can't cook over high heat without burning, as far as I remember it still takes 15 minutes or more to cook a full pan of bacon. The less bacon, the faster. I have told you about the cons of this microwave bacon cooker and I am not sure if there are any positives other than those who find it more convenient to use this frying pan. Whether bacon has less fat when hung rather than fried is highly questionable. These "drip fat" type products that claim to have less fat in the cooked product are basically publicity stunts that don't stand up to the test. However, if you need a bacon microwave, give this one a try. Of the 5 I've used so far, this is by far the best. One more note. Like I said, the bacon didn't cook evenly enough, although I tried it was pretty tight. But if you put more effort into power settings and cook times than I do, you might be able to get pretty damn close.
