My first Macbook. This is how a real laptop should be. I want to work on it! The case is pleasant to touch, fingers glide over the keyboard and touchpad as if by themselves. I don’t want to offend the old working Lenovo, but after the macbook on it, the buttons are not the same and the screen is not the same and I want to close the laptop quickly. Now in more detail. 1. Great battery life. As a rule, I put it on charge for the night, then I work all day (Internet, office programs, a little programming in python) and more than 50% of the charge remains. 2. Passive cooling of the processor, i. E. the fan is not spinning. As a result, the laptop is absolutely silent! And, importantly, dust will not be sucked into the case. 3. Virtually no heat. I noticed heating only when working with rosetta. Soft, optimized for M1, does not warm the knees. 4. Gorgeous screen. Here I have nothing to add at all. The screen must be seen. After the 13" HD screen of my old laptop, it's just a window into a new world. 5. Keyboard with a comfortable profile (slightly concave under the finger) with a soft short key travel. Very comfortable keyboard backlight, you can work in any light. 6. The touchpad is very light, the wrists and fingers do not get tired during operation, they slide freely on the touch surface, there is no nostalgia for the mouse. Well, about the shortcomings. 1. I would like more ports, of course. Two usb-c on the side - obviously not enough. At least one USB 3 would obviously not be superfluous to connect a USB flash drive, for example. The adapter helps out (the benefit of such goodness on the notorious site from the heavenly heap), but it strains to carry it with you. 2. Software under M1 is not always available. The processor itself is probably a masterpiece of engineering, but, for example, installing numpy in May 2022 turned out to be quite an adventure. Well, put opencv a little later - also dancing with a tambourine. 3. Apple's keyboard dialect was also annoying at first. Dots and a comma in the 2022 layout in the number row of keys - somehow this is not human. But I'm used to it, it's not critical either.
