To make the new 8 gallon shop cleaner less of a hassle we bought an extension as well as this longer hose. I like the long hose more than the long extension. The vacuum cleaner stays in one place, and the hose allows us to reach almost every corner of an ordinary room when making a mess. He will not be crushed if his husband crushes him with his big booted foot, for why should he watch where he is going? It doesn't whistle like our other vacuum hose from the store (it seems the pin had a small hole). The angled end piece looked pretty silly, but it comes in handy when we add additional pieces that fit together (the ones that came with the 8 gallon Shop Vac). Highly recommended!
