Headphones are better than headphones if you want decent sound quality from your smartphone. The noise canceling quality is also excellent. I had other headphones that worked fine for a few months and then started picking up grating noises when changing the volume. This is due to corrosion on the mechanical slider which unfortunately cannot be repaired. Well, so far so good. Only time will tell with them. I like them for the improved bass sound. I live my old rock and roll and heavy metal. And it's perfect for me.
