This docking station is great and I would give it five stars even though it doesn't match my laptop 100%. I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 that can draw up to 130W of power. The power on this one (as clearly documented) is 85 watts. When you're not stressing the laptop it stays charged, but when you're doing something CPU intensive the battery will drain a bit and then charge back up. Doing this repeatedly is not good for the battery. Normally, when the battery is fully charged and you are connected to the mains, the battery does not discharge, which extends its lifespan. I ended up returning it and got a $40 cheaper model from the same company with no power and I just plugged in the AC adapter. This is not a defect of this product, but a limitation based on the power consumption of my laptop. Despite all this, I can easily run a 1080p monitor at 144Hz along with my 1440p monitor at 60Hz. I also have a USB hub plugged into the back that has a keyboard and mouse connected to it and runs audio and ethernet. I have gigabit internet but I'm only getting 400-500Mbps through the dock, but I haven't checked extensively to see if there's an issue with the laptop, the dock, or maybe my connection. I wasn't particularly concerned because the speed was 5 times faster than Wi-Fi.
