Review on DualShock Wireless Controller PlayStation Midnight Playstation_4 by BU Jang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

Those who must choose between Sony and Microsoft gamepads will find this review helpful. At last, I get an opportunity to evaluate this controller in tandem with the Xbox One I purchased recently. Check out my profile for my thoughts on the Xbox One. I really enjoy playing classic games (Denny, Sega, Super Nintendo) on PC using emulators. As a result, this analysis will focus solely on the perspective of classic video games, in which the cross and buttons serve as the primary input devices. I haven't played any recent games that utilize sticks and side levers, so I can't comment on how they stack up. Thus, an Xbox One gamepad was previously acquired for play of classic games. Still, I decided to get the Sony DualShock for a number of reasons. This, as well as the fact that the kid wants to play video games right now. And the Xbox One's D-eerie pad's ergonomics. Oh, and it's all old-school sentimentality for the original, long-forgotten Sony Playstation with its superior gamepad (we all called them joysticks before). The gamepad easily bested the Microsoft gamepad in a head-to-head matchup. To begin with, it is a cross! I was able to use it with the desired ease at last. The D-pad is conveniently located in its traditional spot thanks to the symmetrical layout of the analog sticks. Now, unlike with the Xbox One, your thumb won't have to make an awkward arc to use the controller. Unlike Microsoft's sleek mini-X, where your finger tends to slip off when actively using it, the D-pad is wide and comfy. The Xbox cross is also designed to have a distinct "button" action when pressed. Hence, crosses shouldn't be effective. This leads to the second benefit, which is based on the first. The D-placement pad's and the gamepad's larger bulbous grips at the back contribute to the device's comfortable fit in the hand. Finally, these are the primary controls on the right side of the controller. In contrast to the Xbox One's loud clicking buttons, the DualShock's familiar tactile sensations are a major selling point. My fears regarding wireless technology proved to be unwarranted. As long as you keep it within 5.5 meters of a computer, it's perfectly usable with low-cost 2.4GHz Bluetooth.

Pros
  • Functionality, aesthetics, and ergonomics
Cons
  • Nope, still looking.
