Value is pricey as the function ability does work only when your connected direct to WI-FI. Without WI-FI even if your WI-FI is on you lose connection once you leave the area. This causes app not to work. If your program color is on and app lost connection it will be hit and miss that the program did not change to flashing all colors once you shut off power to car. You are able to play iTunes but would need to actually use possibly a hotspot puck to run the data of internet which will cost more on phone bill for the service. iTunes will work but pandora will not stream unless you invest in a puck or if there is a hand held type remote then your worries of wi-fi connect lost is over. I’m waiting for support feed back to my BMW E92.My lights reset to flashing when I swipe the app away during connection loss. Without Wi-fi you can not use app or change the program. Hit misses are coming from losing connection for WI-Fi. Need solution so that WI-FI is not the only source. This is the main downfall for product. Depending which car is getting product installed in. It is plug and play I did make small mod to be able to route wires in cover and keep canbus away from anything plastic rubber or other wires. Canbus does get very hot. I zip tied and all looks good.
