Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Panasonic RQ-L31 Portable Cassette Recorder: Compact & Convenient Audio Recording Device with Slide Microphone by Ricky Bedell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Simple, direct recorder with excellent sound quality.

I had an old Sony mini cassette player. He stopped working. To my chagrin, they are no longer available. So I spent a few hours researching and bought a digital one. I thought it was defective so I sent it back, but almost immediately afterwards I found out that you have to put batteries in even if you unplugged the AC adaptor. Too bad it wasn't in the description! So. I started researching again. I ended up buying an old full size tape recorder. It wasn't the best recording device. You could hear the sound of the machine on your recording. For my purposes, however, it was ok for about 3 uses. Then it stopped working. I returned it. I finally bit the bullet and paid an astronomical price for this one of the last full-size compact tape recorders. That's why it only got 4 stars - overpriced but it's supply and demand in action. The sound quality is 100% better than the larger one I returned. It just works without all the bells and whistles I don't need. Maybe very small digital ones are perfect for the younger generation - I don't know. For me, I found the instructions simply confusing and clearly inadequate. This one is so straight forward. It won't make coffee or do hundreds of other things, but it will record and play back beautifully. It turns off at the end of the tape. I don't know what's wrong with the manufacturer that they all stopped making both full size cassette and mini cassette players. By studying these devices and reading reviews, it becomes clear that there is still a demand for them. listen raven You could return them for all of us who don't want a tiny digital one.

Pros
  • Choose from two recording speeds
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
