Bought to julienne vegetables for salads and roasts. I received it today and tried it asap. I believe if you use a vegetable that is the perfect texture, cut, and size, you could end up with a decent julienne. I tried it on carrots and basically got a "scratch" with bits of julienne mixed in. I'll use it anyway, but I'm disappointed. I'm not sure I want to take the risk of ordering a french fries blade. An advice. I would not use the momentum button on this blade. I made it first, and it's a wonder my bowl lid didn't shatter when removed from the bowl. The carrot got stuck in the blade and instead of slicing, it actually lifted the bowl lid when I hit the swing button again. It's entirely possible that I didn't adjust it perfectly, so I don't care as much about it as I do. I think it was put on correctly, but if it came loose it's impossible to tell. I put the lid back on, cleaned the blade and this time loaded the 'on' button again and by pressing hard I managed to process a batch of carrots with no further issues other than the fluffy cut texture of course.
