Review on 3DXMAX PC (Polycarbonate) Filament (White by Mark Tarnowski

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Strong, strong, durable, not deformed, has good heat resistance

This is amazing! It is extremely strong, deforms very little and has high strength and rigidity. It outperforms any low temperature filament, including the filaments I've used with chopped carbon fiber (e.g. Ziro PLA+CF, Priline PC+CF), in both printability and strength. These filaments also destroy nozzles if you don't use a Ruby hotend. The only reason I gave four stars is because it costs 80/kg and they don't sell full 1kg buns. Regardless, I will very likely buy other filaments from 3DXTech as they are superior in strength and quality. I've used this to print some fan covers as well, as they are fairly close to the heater block I have yet to see any signs of heat warping on the 6 fan covers I use when printing up to 300C. My print settings are: Heater unit: H59 Copper Volcano with PT100 Nozzle: Heat treated steel 0.6mm Emitter: e3d V6 Hotend: 305 CBed: 125 C Camera: 45 CB Tray type: Glass bed with sticky alcohol based hairspray Retract: E1.0 Z0.8 F2100 Normal print speed : 30 mm/s - 70 mm/s Collection: strips, overlap, short shift time, not required for walls and infill.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Without automation
