Review on ICARMAINT Mini Tire Inflator - Portable Air Compressor with 3000mAh Lithium Battery, Digital Gauge LCD Display, LED Light, 140 PSI - 110V AC/12V DC Air Pump for Car, Motorcycle, and Bike by Cameron Reed

Excessively high charging currents of 12 V cannot suffice in the long run! (broken after 2.5 months)

***Edit: Rating below downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star after battery stopped working after just 2.5 months and 3 uses ! I knew this was going to happen and due to the design the battery is not replaceable! ** Original review below: The device itself works and is well made. I have a few questions about this though: 1- The body is a painted/coated metal cylinder. When the tire is inflated it vibrates, damaging that beautiful coat of paint and exposing the bare metal. It should have rubber bumpers around the edges. 2- The body gets very hot when the tires are inflated. 3- When charging from a 12V car socket, the device gets very hot for a good 10-15 minutes. This worries me as the battery life will be significantly reduced when fully charged. While the AC charger is limited to around 12V 2A, the 12V car charger plug is limited to 10-15A. I hope they change the design. Device for slow charging, not for 3.6V with a charging current of 40 amps (= 12V @ 10A)! The display is visible but the letters are small and the backlight isn't very bright. The pump is nice, compact and my 225 50 R17 tires inflate from 36psi to 40psi in about 3 minutes. Always use the 12V plug whenever possible as this speeds up the pumping process. there is or should be a wheel) There was no room for a suitcase in my Ford Fusion so most of the suitcase had to be left aside. The suitcase came with 4 black valve caps. They look good but they don't fit my wheels. Still a good backup in case one gets lost.
