This is the only jacket my super sensitive Pitbull x American Bulldog mix will wear without a fuss. Rogue has a short coat (no undercoat) and, like many short-haired dogs, is almost hairless between the front paws and under the belly. He hates going outside in cold weather but also hates every dog jacket I've tried and doesn't want to move let alone go potty in it. The Ruffwear jacket's soft material offers a snug yet flexible fit that moves with him, which I think prefers the stiffer, "horse blanket" style dog coat construction that just slips out of place when walking/running. It was 20 degrees Fahrenheit on the day the jacket arrived. We put it on with minimal fuss and went for a walk. Rogue happily ran off and, as usual, peed on every post he saw like he wasn't even wearing a jacket. On a walk or two, I put my hand inside the jacket and was pleased at how warm it felt underneath. His chest size is 35 inches and I bought a large one that fits him like a glove. This seems like a good option for deep-chested dogs with more pronounced waists. Very happy with this purchase!
