I bought these for my 2014 Subaru Outback.For those who haven't had the joyous experience of trying to replace a late model Subaru low beam, you have to do one of two things: either pull off the inner fender skirting and reach UP and in, blindly, to replace it, OR you have to pull off the front bumper cover and cladding, REMOVE the headlight assembly and then replace the bulb. I did the second method up on my buddy's lift. ONCE. And then the OTHER SIDE low beam went out a week later. Heck with that nonsense, I decided to go LED and never have to replace them again. BUT. trying to get the clip over that fan is a PAIN to try and do blindfolded.So I went looking for a set with a SMALL cooling fan and found these. One night last week my buddy and I put the car on his lift and pulled apart the front end and replaced the halogens with these LEDs. The Subaru has a little plastic dome that goes over the back of the headlight to keep moisture out, and it fits tight. These LEDs have a small enough fan that that dome cover could fit over them!Driving. what an amazing difference. If I was a city dweller, I might not have bothered - but I live way out in the country, six miles from the nearest streetlight. If my car doesn't light the road up, I don't see to drive! These light the road up for a good distance, don't make oncoming traffic flash me with their highbeams (so I know it's cutting off low enough) and even give me enough scattered light to the sides that I can see if there are any four-footed critters on the shoulder of the road.Easy to install? Hell, no. But worth it? Oh, yeah!
