Review on 45043 Precision Sport Shifter by Kenneth Witte

Installed on my GTO. I've read a number of reviews on forums and all I've heard was bad information and I've been told that the only short throw switches you can buy are in the $500-$600 range . Don't waste money on them. This derailleur greatly reduces the jump in shifting and gives the car that race car look it so desperately needs (just make sure you install the extra centering springs). I actually spoke to someone who has ridden GTOs at SCCA about what derailleur they use and he advised me to get a B&M. If someone tells you the handle is broken, it means they abused the switch and don't know how to operate the hand control properly. I've been a manufacturing engineer all my working life and I assure you that B&M has done an excellent job with the quality that has gone into this switch. I use it for HPDE events and open houses. Shortens shift times in corners and gives you less time to coast. Take it from an engineer and a racer, that's the way to go.
