Couldn't be happier!

Super easy to replace if you're a bit mechanical. These particular ballasts are smaller than the OEM ballasts I replaced. I didn't worry about drilling new mounting holes and all that. I was lucky enough to just use one of the old ballast's mounting screw holes to hold it in place. If they were contacted daily, yes, but they are not. A mounting screw was enough to hold the ballast in place while I worked. You will find that you will need to cut the wiring provided as there is DEFINITELY a lot of work to do. I've also been able to use lockable clamps on existing lampholders. So, besides knowing how to read a schematic, I could put jumpers on the yellow terminals and not use a single nut for anything other than input power wiring. After installation, the headlights immediately lit up without hesitation. I was used to my old ones taking a few seconds to turn on, so that in itself was a plus. In addition, there is no hum or buzz when the light is on. If I remember correctly, the old ballasts buzzed from day one. All I see from them is a bright, steady, flicker-free light when I flip the switch. I decided I needed to replace some of my old lightbulbs as they were getting pretty weak. Definitely unexpected as I knew after changing ballasts all I had to do was wipe the bulbs with a damp cloth to shake off the dust to get the light as bright as when it was first installed. If you have a 40w twin T-12 bulb and need a ballast they will not disappoint. I just installed them so I'll update if anything changes. I couldn't be happier at the moment.
