Appears to be working well. I had trouble orienting the mounting ring so that it is "right side up". Otherwise the installation is very easy. There are no spare batteries. They are built in and last 10 years so after 10 years you will need to replace the entire unit. The display is easy to read and only turns on when you press a button or see something, so you don't have to worry about glare. The noise is loud enough to wake me up. Looks nice. Reads the carbon monoxide level and not only detects its presence.
