Review on Columbia Girls' Silver Ridge IV Convertible Pant: Stylish, Versatile Outdoor Wear for Active Majors by Shawn Welker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wrong size for women

These pants are great quality and color (5 stars for that) but the size is too big (2 stars) plus size. We've ordered the Columbia Silver Ridge III version of the pant many times in the past, so we decided to give the Silver Ridge IV a try. The waistband is elastic at the back, compared to the Model III, which had an adjustable waist, but most other details remained the same. We ordered the Silver Ridge IV in size L because my daughter outgrew the medium to the Silver Ridge III. They were way too big when Big One arrived, a few extra inches at the waist and a few extra inches too long for her. Thinking the Silver Ridge IV might be too big, I changed the large one to a medium one. However, the medium was too small (essentially the size she had just outgrown, which is the equivalent of 12 girls) and fit almost exactly like the medium in Silver Ridge III. With the Silver Ridge IV there appears to be a 2 size difference between medium and large. So if you have outgrown Medium be careful as Large fits more like XL in these pants.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
