Weird I hesitated to order this as it is cheaper than OEM but ended up doing it after reading a number of forum comments mentioning it was recommended. It arrived a few days later and I was surprised when I took out the old filter. The new filter was much stiffer and better built. The old one was squashed a bit (perhaps during the factory install since I bought the car new) but with a little extra support this filter seems to hold its shape over time than the old one. Just in case you're interested. I have a 2005 BMW Z4 and it fits perfectly.
