Installed this starter on a 2008 Tahoe with almost 200,000 miles as a preventative measure since the starter was original on the truck. Installed the starter with no problems and it ran like a champ for 6 starts and then ran a 45 minute ride at +100 on the first day of a new install. After switching off the industrial truck and restarting the engine; The starter attempted to re-engage the ring gear while the engine was running. Stop the engine and try again. This time the starter would not stop turning even with the ignition off. I checked all the cables, everything is fine. Newly installed old starter, everything works. I'll look for a new (not refurbished) starter and change it again, but it won't be Delco. Very poor performance for the price and Delco's quality assurance. Surprisingly, unlike some Delco devices, this one wasn't made in China. but Mexico.
