These cloths are larger than normal washcloths and smaller than hand towels. They absorb moisture well and have a sufficient degree of scratching to wipe the surface clean. The only problem I have with these towels is that if you use them in the kitchen and don't wring them out enough, they get slimy very quickly, like within a few hours. I have one set that I use in the kitchen and one that I use in the bathroom. It's nice to have lots of these towels and I'll be buying a second set as we've used them and washing ours until they start falling apart. We actually had them for about a year so I'd say they lasted quite a while.
