We replaced our long composite videos with this product and I was blown away by the ease of installation and the improved video quality! Running Cat 6 cable was more difficult than installing and setting up an HDMI extender. It was truly a plug and play experience: the power strip is powered by the included power adapter. Plug in the network cable that goes to each TV/projector. Connect a network cable to each decoder near each TV/projector. Electricity is not required. Then simply connect the HDMI cable from the decoder to your TV/projector. We also connected a screen to the video output so we can control the program from the control booth. Finally, audio can also be transmitted via an HDMI signal. Basically we have a wire to each TV/Projector. The cost of this solution was very reasonable as now we can use up to 8 devices with a stable high quality video signal over a long distance. Our longest run is about 110 feet from the source. I couldn't be happier.
