Review on C&S Peanut Delight No Melt Suet Dough - 12 Pack, 11.75 Oz by Jeff Dawson

I have bought this lard several times over the last few years for my garden feeder. I have also bought other brands. I like this C&S brand the most. Others are oilier/oilier or don't take the Florida heat well (even if they say they're melt resistant). Also, birds don't seem to be as attracted to the other types of sweat I've tried, and they linger much longer. Eventually I bought other costumes that turned out to be bug infested. Even after storing the lard for weeks or months, I still haven't noticed any errors in the C&S brand or a change. This brand from C&S Peanut Delight is holding up very well. I've never had a problem with it melting, my hands never get greasy after putting it in the feeder and the birds love it. I've seen all manner of birds gnawing at that grease - woodpeckers, mockingbirds, crested tits and various finches, wrens, warblers, sparrows, etc. I would, but squirrels are the tax you pay if you love backyard birds (and it can be fun to watch). I use a lot more of this in the winter and spring when natural food sources are scarce, migratory birds pass by and native birds breed. Less in summer and autumn. I will continue to buy this lard as long as the quality remains high.
