LED up down is required. It fit, but the wiring left a lot to be desired. Very thin wiring, 20 gauge or less, that must be connected to a standard 14/2 or 12/2 house circuit. He kept pulling out the wire nuts when installing as they also give you minimal wire to work with so you'd have to be an acrobat to hang it up. It glowed well, looked great, and was easy to hang on the wall, but I ended up throwing it away just worried about a possible short in the wiring. Was very disappointed I couldn't use it.
